The Good Distribution and Trade Practices Committee looks after regulatory issues impacting raw materials for different industries and ensure that distributors comply with their responsibilities in the supply chain.
Initially the Committee was focused in the Pharmaceutical industry and distribution and trade of excipients and active substances, but it has now expanded to other chemicals and ingredients used in Food, Feed and Cosmetics. It is also known as Life Science Committee.
The Committee monitors initiatives from International and European Regulatory Authorities such WHO, ECHA, EMA or EFSA and the National Authorities in Ireland: HSA, HPRA, FSAI or DAFM, and keep members aware of emerging regulations and guidelines impacting the supply chain in the mentioned industries.
